| We need to come up with 8 gym leaders and also what to call them instead of gym leader. Also what types?
Which types to keep and which to get rid of?

FIRE WATER ICE GROUND/ROCK FLYING DRAGON STEEL NO DEFINED TYPE
Edit: also, we could just get rid of "gym" and call them Leaders or ____ Leaders after whatever we name gyms

| Fire Flying Ice (This way the Ice, Ground and Steel/Metal starters all get to take on one of the first three gyms with a type advantage in their favour)
Water Dragon Steel/Metal Fighting Rock (Yeah, I'd like a high level Rock Gym that doesn't suck for a change)

| I would prefer a tough Rock type gym too.
If our cultures are based loosely on Egypt, the Neolithic era, Roma, Greece, Inuit (I saw somewhere), China, Japan.
Then who/what are we going to have for the Elite Four?
I was thinking though, we could have Egypt be the place of the last gym leader, and then the Elite four would be in Rome, with a Japanese member, and a a Roman Centurion as the champion or something. What could we do for the other 2 members though?

| They could be the 'Chief' of certain tribes, you have to beat them to gain the town's respect and they'll give you a badge, only once you've defeated all Chiefs in the region can you challenge the region's 'Elders' (A.K.A E4) | |

| Or just each village's champion, I envision a chief as some 80-year-old which would get boring as fuck to fight after 3 or 4 gyms. | |

| Fire - How about having this is in your village and beating it is considered a rite of passage? It's the town's blacksmith who uses his pokemon to properly heat his metal for forging/fixing, and he makes sure the youth's of the village are ready to leave it and go out into the world? Or, if you're a slave, he's the other candidate for the job of guarding your owner/rival, and beating him get's you the job. Gym Trainers: None.
Flying - He's the Civ's Postmaster, they use bird Pokémon to deliver news and messages, so he breeds and trains them to be strong enough to fly anywhere needed and to fight off predators. You fight his personal squad used to transport the message of royalty/rich people securely. Gym Trainers: Bodyguards
Ice - Inuit's tribe leader. Gym Trainers: Villagers
Water - Japanese's top fisher, who uses his pokémon team to catch the vast quantities of fish their nation needs. Gym Trainers: Lesser fishermen
Dragon - Rich guy who's earned a reputation for being an excellent fighter, you challenge him outside his manor/villa to gain respect from the locals, or if you're a slave, he's a business rival to your owner and you need to beat him so he loses face with prospective buyers. Gym trainers: Body Guards/Soldiers again
Steel/Metal - Very famous inventor, working on a way to harness lightning for practical uses. Gym Trainers: Apprentices
Fighting - Famous retired warrior who fights in the arena/accepts challenges to duel only from people who've earned a reputation and can put up a fun fight. (In other words, you can run into him early but you're not famous enough to Fight him until after beating six GYM leader's) Gym Trainers: Other prospective sparring partners who wish to defeat you to prove they're worthy of battling him.
Rock - Sage living in the mountains who runs a Monastery/Rest stop for travellers, could fight you as a 'training exercise' because he believes the best way to learn how to defend oneself is through combat, and that you'll need I to be able to take on the Elite Four. Gym Trainers: Monks/Mountaineers who want to learn as well.

| Starter villages never have gyms, I remember someone saying earlier that going into the forest to find your first pokemon would be the rite of passage. How bout that?
Love the rest of them, especially steel.

| Looks good, but I'd like the inuit leders gym to be a puzzle, because he doesn't have much of a backstory. | |
